[TAS] PSX Spyro: Year of the Dragon '117%' by Nitrofski in 2:27:54.15

Spyro: Year of the Dragon is the third installment in the Spyro series and the last Spyro game to be released for the PlayStation, in addition to being the last one created by its original creators.

After many technical issues, this first ever completed TAS of Spyro: Year of the Dragon finishes the game with 100% (in-game 117%) game completion, over an hour faster than any normal speedrun. This is done through carefully planned routes, precisely executed glitches and highly optimized movement.

I can't tell you how many hours I spent on the Panda Rhynoc flame ball minigame, but watching you absolutely obliterate it was a bittersweet moment.

I like how the moments where the game forces you to play at a certain pace become random fun here.

I always come back and watch this speedrun when I feel like relaxing, the nostalgia I get from this and other old games I used to play is unreal. Also this TAS is flipping amazing.

1:45:52 This is the most cathartic thing about speedruns, especially tas's. its when a notoriously difficult part of the game just gets absolutely brought to its knees. It's a feeling I can only imagine akin to seeing the execution of someone guilty of murdering one of your loved ones. They say revenge is bittersweet, but the ten year old child in me sleeps easy tonight, knowing that a cause of many nights of frustration got what it deserved.
