An Italian Reviews FROZEN PIZZA

Did you know frozen pizza is actually a thing in Italy?? My husband Alessio says Italians eat it, though going out for a fresh pizza at the pizzeria is more common. The question is though- what does he think about frozen pizza in the US? We did a side-by-side frozen pizza taste test with one of America's most-loved frozen pizzas, Digiorno, as well as Milton's cauliflower crust pizza AND a pizza made right in Alessio's home town! It's called Roncadin and you can find this type at Costco. So- how did the taste test go? Ok, first….don’t break a frozen pizza in half! The topping will slide off when it bakes. Second….you didn’t let that digiorno pizza cook long enough which is why it tasted doughy. Third….the digiorno crust was pillow like because you bought RISING crust. I’m not even a digiorno fan (I don’t care for their sauce). But I had to tell you this stuff lol. My two favorite frozen pizza brands are Motor City Pizza and Freschetta!

yeah, you can't break a frozen pizza without the toppings sliding off when they melt. Digiorno is a "rising crust" that means it blows up in the oven, Also, I prefer cooking my Digiorno for about 30 minutes, so the crust is fully cooked, and the cheese gets browned.

20 years ago my husband took me to Mola di Bari, Italy to visit my father in law’s home town and I ordered a pepperoni panzarotti, boy was I surprised! They all thought it was the funniest thing! It was still amazing though.

Hey, very cool video! My wife is also American and I’m Italian and moved to the US too so a very similar situation. We found this goat cheese frozen pizza that is actually pretty good over here. Of course not as good as Italian pizza 🍕 but still not bad.
