Fun fact: if you have a pokemon that wasn't caught but have it from another game even pokemon go, import it, ditto breed it, hatch, evolve where needed, Rinse repeat. It will count the hatched pokemon as coming from SV

I had the idea for this ages ago, completing the Home dexes should reward you with Shiny Mythical Pokémon!

My friend already cleared those Dexes Christmas last year. He said many laughed at him for doing that (being a completionist) because HOME dex would not mean anything.

I say his hard work paid off. And now those naysayers are complaining, scrambling to finish their Dexes while my friend can claim Meloetta whenever he wants (on the 24, he says, to make it a good catch date 😅).

He has also completed the SwSh and DLC dexes. I wonder if that will trigger Shiny Keldeo in the future.

I had a sitting living dex in my copy of scarlet so it was quite fast. Had to replace a few pokemon tho and Alolan golem was a gigantic pain in the ass since I spent around 1 hour skipping through dates to get a 6 star Tera raid

Got mine last night can’t wait to flex it on my co worker this morning and I’m glad all my hard work paid off 😂 we gotta get more of these shiny Pokemon earned this way because it was quite the adventure accomplishing the Pokédex again with the 50 poke I lacked on my phone in a game where I thought I’ve done everything

Just got shiny meloetta from home. Honestly very tedious process. Took me 3 days at my moderate pace. Had to make a ckecklist and cross out caught mons for each place (Paldea, Kitakami, Blue Berry). For bred/hatched mons to count in the game dex in home it has to be within those specific places in the game. So yeah, the SV dlcs are required.

What sucks is that despite me having all of the Pokémon in all three Pokédex’s in Pokémon HOME, 50% of them don’t count because they literally have to be moved from your scarlet and violet game to Pokémon HOME. Just having them in Pokémon HOME doesn’t count. 🙄

I actually like this very much because this requires actual hard work to get the Meloetta, and not just recieve it like they give away every special Pokémon like it means nothing. I'm only a few mons away from completing this.
