Well I just posted a very long comment to help others and now it's gone. But the short story is follow this video exactly in the sequence they are showing you here. I almost sent mine back cause it couldn't maintain a GPS lock. I was following the instructions of other videos which had everything out of sequence. If you have further questions let me know and I can help. I am keeping mine now. GPS is rock solid.

Well i just got mines. So far so good. I like flying it around. Ive used the camera but still trying to figure out the other options.
If you are trying to unlock it. Just press the far left button on it and press up...

Thank God for the "Pause" and "Rewind" button because I would have never been able to follow. Video is too fast. It cuts to scenes quickly and text is obscured by the status bar. Irregardless, I think I wrote enough notes to get this drone airborne. I'm taking it out right now to see how it does.

Had quite some trouble with this drone and setting it up. The GPS barely ever works and we’ve had to use optical mode most of the time, when we flew it indoors to figure out how to set it up and test if we had done everything correctly, the drone flew forwards. We tried the trim adjustment but that just made it fly forwards even faster. Also this drone turns off automatically while you try to figure out what it’s doing so you have to restart the process again…many times. We haven’t got it in the air yet so don’t know how it flies but I can be certain that setting it up is a pain in the arse and the Manuel explains only half of the information in the video. Overall it’s very frustrating as this is the first drone we bought so all of this stuff is new, so over complicating it in the Manuel isn’t the most helpful. Thank you

i lost my drone a month ago, lost connection and it never came back.. by some miracle a family found it miles away and recognized my family in the videos on the sd card

Thanks for making this process nearly impossible. When I finally got the drone to take off, it took me by complete surprise. I crashed immediately, and now my drone is junk 😑

I have the same exact drone. I've done step by step probably 100 times and cannot for the life of me unlock the rotors....im pretty irritated at this point. I had unlocked them once, right out of the box new. Nothing since then.

The app for this states "initialising the resource pack, please wait" what have I missed? why isn't it working?

How to I unlock the drone? Putting the joysticks together doesn’t work.

Do you have to go thru the setup process everytime you turn on the drone? I flew it once. Changed out the battery, and when I turned it back on the controller wouldn't reconnect to the drone.

I have a question. Why is my drone only flying 30 meters high and 30 meters far? If I could have an answer I would be very appreciative.

Acabo de comprar el Drone Holy Stone HS175D, ya segui todo el procedimiento y no logro que vuele, y la imagen en el celular por momentos aparace y otras la pantalla se hace oscuro no se ve el video de la camara, pero no logro que vuele, me pueden ayudar por favor.
