This is exactly what i was looking for. I created a vm using linux and I was able to open it with vb using windows to continue testing my virtual machine.

Great video, been struggling with this for ages.
Don't know if it's of any benefit to anyone, but as I had a saved snapshot running on mine, I had to edit the VBox file manually with notepad (the previous location of the vmdk is hardcoded inside and it can't be changed using the software if a machine is running).

I tried to copy a VM from an Ubunto Host VirtualBox to a Windows Host VistualBox but it did not work, it fails to start, it can either be retored or if I tried to delete the VM it fails to delete the files. So is this procedure only for VMs from the same type of VirtualBox Host?
