THRIFT FLIP | 7 simple diy clothing transformations to *finally* update my thrift pile | WELL-LOVED

taking in jeans, hemming dresses, cropping tops, and making small thrift flip adjustments to finally update all the pieces that have been sitting in my closet for months! this video is basically me forcing myself to complete these little changes, and it was *quite* therapeutic to have these pieces fit me and my style! thanks for making little changes with big impact on my sustainable wardrobe with me!

thrift flips are my favorite way to update some not so cute thrifted pieces into ready to wear diy sustainable cuties. today I thrifted some gorgeous quilts, and decided to chop them up, sew them together and create some one-of-a-kind works of art! it may be my best thrift flip yet, enjoy!

These all turned out so well. I love the orange dress I’m so glad you just made it fit better and didn’t transform it because it’s so good. The periwinkle sheer dress reminds me of Florence Welch (love her style) and it was so smart to make the skirt so you still have the option to wear it together as a dress. The vintage collar dress was also darling and now fits you so perfectly!

✍ Hello...I'm so glad I found your channel and subscribed. Its been a while since I've been able to do some sewing. I have been sewing since I was about 10 and I'll be 78 next Tuesday. My favorite way of sewing is exactly what I found you doing to older clothes etc.by making something new out of them. I used to cut down clothes and make school clothes for my girls cause they went to a private school and needed nice clothes so this really helped with the budget. I'm also glad to have found you cause the machine I have right now needs to be replaced cause I bent the needle shaft by sewing denim. I notice you use a Singer model 4452 and that you sewed denim with ease so I'm having my daughter take me to buy that same machine. I'm super excited to get sewing again. Keep Sewing !!
