Parry. A mechanic that allows you to ward off "incoming attacks". Usually a successful parry will provide a great opportunity for a counterattack, even if the move is usually safe if blocked, and parrying is always related to timing, even for games like sekiro and devil my cry, both games have a "parry" mechanic without a special button to do it, because both games rely on the timing of pressing the block button (in sekiro) or normal attack ( in devil my cry). so there is no reason to add a new button for that special function, unless they are lazy enough to be creative about the freedom given from the mechanics in this game.

I agree that Wuthering Waves doesn't need a parry button If you can parry with any kind of attack you can make except for a Gun character. They don't want to add another button on the mobile's screen that serves one singular purpose.

Later on, If they gonna add a character that can block the incoming attack by simply pressing the Dodge button without movement input, they could go on that route. since Kuro Game already tested it with Noctis and Bridget the new character in PGR CN who also has this mechanic.

Just use Danjin, her E cancels whatever-you-were-doing animation, is fast, and doesn't have cooldown. Perfect for parry.

The only argument I heard for a parry button was in the context of making sure you can't parry by spamming. The person was saying that the parries were successful incidentally which would make mashing the optimal way to play.

That would suck as it would diminish the need to play skillfully, so I would agree in that context. There are many ways to solve that problem (if it exists), parry button was just the first that popped into his head. It wasn't about making it easier, but the opposite, making sure it wasn't so easy it became irrelevant.

I just saw you using the bears at the end, so.. Pretty much any / most echos. 😂😂🎉

Like, can you use any echo? Or rather, could you use "Thundering Memphis"?

(I typically use the birds, but wondering if I could use the heavier hitters)

Used the echo, then immediately spammed dodge twice to dodge his follow up attacks 1:50

If they really want a parry button maybe wait for a sword and shield character with an exclusive parry button
But then again almost everyone can parry already u just have to Git Gud(this is not an insult)

I think people who aren't used to parrying in games are going to struggle at first. I personally think a parry button is unnecessary because you can parry with melee intro skills and certain outro skills, echoes and even charge attacks. It doesn't need a parry in my opinion. I think it would be a bad idea to add one because all it does is add another button people need to push. It would largely do the same thing anyway

yea the concept of just timing different attacks for the parry seems to work just fine. also creates more diversity and looks more fun than just having one dedicated parry button

Taochi still took damage... and the boss also did a follow up attack after your "parry".. these are just... make-shift parries... and only works for one attack instance... this only helps.. a little...

From what i have heard people are saying its too easy to parry as its is right now because sometime you can just just parry by auto attacking as sekiro and pgr player i wont mind both and i think them implementing diffrent characters that have a exclusive parry is a good idea as they can make more chracters more unique
