In the second of our three-part series, we'll be going over how to model the midsole of a shoe using a combination of direct and procedural modeling tools, as well as how to set up backdrops and how to use curves to shape up our fusion mesh.

i have bought other 3d programs but still hesistate on modo because you guys will make 1 video on how to make 1 object 1 way and put that on youtube. see how zbrush does it and uploads many different how to make models videos on youtube(often) showing me why I want to buy their product. meshfusion all it is good for is making 1 shoe ? your curves 2 complex mesh modo workflow is only good for making a modo snake logo?

It is possible to drag and drop image from Windows(and OS/x?) File Explorer straight in to the Viewport and Modo creates an Backdrop from it.
Much faster than creating to create a Backdrop and then finding the image :)

i have used some mesh fusion in the past version of MODO. but a downside about mesh fusion is that it's going to make the whole UI very laggy making it very slow to do anything in the process of working in Modo... my question is does 15.2 have the same problem?
