Strips are an incredibly powerful feature of Mesh Fusion. In this video, we'll learn what absolute strip width mode is; we'll adjust strip widths and strip profiles; and we'll also learn how to alter strip corners.

Appreciate these explanations into the Fusion workflow.

I recently tested out MeshFusion and this is way cleaner than using a MeshOp stack full of Booleans that might create poor geometry. This is the closest Modo will get towards parametric modeling, and I appreciate that all of the mesh items are treated as Catmull-Clark subdivisions.

And the strips are REALLY useful for clean fillet blends for 3d printing

Very nice Tutorial Ed, you are pretty good in explaining stuff, i hope you do more of this. You should consider to make a more in-depth paid training course, advanced Mesh-Fusion with a more complex model.

Thank you Ed. I agree, you explain things very well. I too would support a Gumroad effort on your part. Too bad those older Vimeos you made aren't applicable to the new MeshFusion. I was hoping to learn all that, but I understand they won't work in the revised version. Here's hoping.

Is there anyway to temporarily disable MeshFusion? Sometimes the updates are very slow on high poly geo. Sometimes I just need to get something in place quickly and then turn it back on. I''ve just been unplugging the cables in the schematic view and replugging them in, but looking for a toggle command I could drop into a form or a script?

Modo looks pretty interesting. Im modelling mainly in rhino right now. How about the ability of modo to do Architektural modelling. Is it usefull for this kind of task or is it more comparable to 3ds max or c4d regading to 3d modelling?

Could you tell me please, why my strip bevels look so weird? I used just two boxes and I tried different strip control settings but the main shape of the bevels is still not even

Hmm. I think what made the first video so great, you completely ruined in this video. Suddenly you started with everything already in place, not showing us everything that you placed, plus you have items that we don’t even know about like those flat one sided panel. You didn’t mention them in this video or in the last, so how are we supposed to know what’s going on? Most of us are replicating this on our own systems to see how it works. I was able to use some meshes as walls, but I have no idea if this is the right way to do it.

I still liked the video, because once I got a similar looking set up, I was able to understand what you were saying, and adjust the strips. But really, please don’t start in the middle of a project.
