Perfecto - Mac Miller - Piano Cover - Swimming

..I was waiting for PERFECTO to arrive in my fingers... For years...
Every time I sat down to find it, instantly it just didn't feel like the right time.
I never look for a song if I don't feel that the song is looking for me, too....

This morning when I was listening to SwiMMing and Perfecto's last notes were playing I knew it finally found me and so I sat down with it to test the waters.
I never know what comes once I sit down with it. Some Mac songs seem to transform themselves into something observed through another lense at the piano then the recorded studio track.

This song is structured like a circle, that's how it feels to me at least. It's cruising around a middle point, seemingly out of balance, but kinda swinging left and right, and somehow it's returning to the middle after every round. In itself it is perfect(O). Embracing what feels to be imperfect... Maybe that's what the "o" is standing for - I just noticed while putting the "o" in brackets...Circles...Over and over again...

The ending though is a door. It ends in something unexpected. It kinda invites us to see what's there. I heard it in a delicate way. And I guess every person who enters that emotional sphere will find something individual. Something he left for everybody to sit alone with... A bit challenging to be honest. Challenging if you truly allow it all in. We all go through so much these days. It's a feeling you cannot lie about to yourself. But once you find it, with a little help of Perfecto's last chord that Mac left us with, it's freeing. Because you get to see your things stripped down. In a safe place Mac provided us with. What a genius.
Well, that's at least what I felt playing it. I hope you can feel it with me. That's my wish. It always is, in every song I share. My guiding light, to bring light, just like the one by my piano.

This Perfecto video is my first and only take returning to it tonight after a first quick find of the chords this morning. That's unprecedented and it feels just "perfecto" to me, the way that it turned out, slow and full of reflection, swinging up and down but not forgetting there's a point of balance, and an open door in the end...
