I recommend just using Windows + G to open Game Bar and use the Audio Mixer in there. I've just been using that for years. Much faster and can be run while in a full screen game.

Actually Microsoft is just going back to the Windows 7 and prior solution. I am pretty sure Windows 98 had this already.

If I don't have volume mixer in my PC. Will Ear Trumpet add that functionality and allow me to record sound from computer (eg capture sound from eg. from a movie with software)

Other than the Windows Store, where can I obtain files that can be executed? Like portable software.

I don't get it. Windows has been able to control audio per application for years. These two apps doesn't even look alike.
