What about the network appliance VMs, such as OPNsense, that can tag traffic? Lets say the vNIC is supposed to be a trunk. Can the SDN VLAN zone able to support this or the vmbr0 need to be assigned to the VM's vNIC?
If the vmbr0 need to be assigned to the VM for trunking, would it be possible to specify the allowed VLAN tags?
Here is the Cisco trunk config as an example:
