Here is another arrangement of a John Dowland masterpiece in Dadgad. I based this arrangement on one I came across by Ben Walker in Dadgad (you can hear him perform a version on electric guitar). I redid some of the fingering to find my own solutions and went back to my Karl Scheitt classical guitar copy just to check. Basically though this is Ben's version, and it was this that has got me interested in arranging some more of Dowland's pieces (I have already recorded the Preludium and am now working on the Frog Galliard).

It is played on a lovely Brook Lamorna OM size guitar, with D'Addario XS strings, a G7th Performance 3 capo and recorded using an AKG Lyra USB microphone. Reverb was added in Logic Pro X.

Absolutely exquisite.
I've only just started my DADGAD journey. So far I've mostly been playing folk tunes with a pick. And this mostly on a guitalele tuned variously in A, G or F#. (My Arthur Rhitis survival instrument.)
Today I have found you and another player inspiring me to get going again with fingerpicking.
This piece and the other (Bach cello suite 1 prelude) are both pieces I played previously on classical guitar in "standard" tunings (dropped D for the Bach and F# 3rd string for the Dowland).
Both of these pieces have a wonderful campanella effect in DADGAD.
Arthur Rhitis allowing I'll be looking to have a go at adding these versions of amongst my favourite tunes to my own repertoire.
I've already got a pick version of Flow My Tears coming along nicely for singing along to.
I love that song :-)
Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely wonderful, I see you went capo 2 instead of 5 was that an issue of transposition?
