You didn't show how it lights up the ground. It's like reviewing a flashlight and only having the camera look directly into the flashlight beam instead of showing how the flashlight beam lights up what it is pointed to.

Our neighborhood road just had its second drive by and I needed a cheap kind of security thing. I got it for 8 bucks at ross. This video is 8 years old but damn I'm glad I found it, because now I can see how it works and I didn't even spend that much on it 😅

I have a 16-LED version and the only thing I don't like is it stays on all night in dim mode and attracts moths, which make it blink bright and dim all night.
I took mine apart and found a way to make it go OUT instead of dim:
on the small circuit board inside, there is a chip resistor labeled R6. It's soldered on the same tab as the black ""LED" wire is attached. It can be removed by unsoldering, OR, it can easily be crushed with a small pair of diagonal cutters or needle nose pliers. PRESTO! A solar light that comes on BRIGHT when it detects motion in the dark and goes OFF after a few minutes. All these lights seem to provide the unwanted "dim" function, and this makes a much more useful light.

I have found that these lights work great for about six months and then the leds starts failing or the light stays on all the time!
