Thank you for the information. I just spent a month in Japan and traveled to several cities and had a great time.

Lots of good info in this video! Regarding medications, even if a drug is legal in the vistor's country and they have a prescription, it may still be illegal to bring it into Japan. Possession of such medications could even result in jail time. It's important to check whether your prescribed drugs are allowed in Japan. If they are not, you can apply for a 'Yunyu Kakunin-sho, ' which is an import certificate that permits travelers to bring in certain prescribed medications. Be sure to apply for this certificate at least a few weeks before your trip.

Good info. Fyi, Canada uses the same plugs as the USA (just in case you do another video covering this another time). Thanks for sharing these tips!

Before traveling to Japan I had nightmares about not being able to figure out how to use a public toilet. I found out that most have symbols that I could understand.

A few modifications:
Neck pillow... Just gets in the way and took up extra space on return trip.
Power Bank... I guess. Can drop if you speak a little or can navigate without apps. Never ran into a problem.
IC card... Not needed, but will give you minor discounts to ride fares. Example ¥360 > ¥340.

Buy there: umbrella, toothpaste, toothbrush, towel (hotels provide some or all these things already)
