So the sequence should be mirror, signal, shoulder check. Thanks for your explanation.

In europe is indicators - mirrors - manoeuvre and I think it's a better solution
1. The signal doesn't give you the right to do the manoeuvre so other drivers should not be confused because they know they have priority(this is the behaviour in europe and maybe it's not the same in Australia)
2. In the situation at 5:40, if you don't indicate and stop in the middle of the road and a car comes behind what should the driver think that you just did if you don't signal? doing a manoeuvre, hitting something, having a problem or just parked?

You are wrong my friend - The indicator "signals you intension to move" but it is not compulsory that you move. Therefore I do not really care if fragile driver coming behind me is confused - I am merely showing my intention to move. I would not turn off my indicator to save their feelings. It is Mirror, signal, then shoulder check (for what it is worth - personally I rotate as far as I can, as I do on a motorcycle) and then I will maneuver (if safe to do so).
