'They Should Be SENT BACK!' | Reform UK's Former Deputy Leader Ben Habib On Asylum Applications

Nearly 1,500 migrants have arrived in the UK after a busy week of crossings in the English Channel, figures show.

Some 1,499 people made the journey in 27 boats from July 15 to 21, while the French coastguard confirmed two people died amid rescue operations off the northern French coast.

The maritime prefecture also said on Sunday that a further 71 migrants were saved in the Channel, but some travellers on the boat who were not requesting assistance were allowed to continue the journey.

They said this decision was made given the risk of “falling overboard or of injury to people in the event of forced intervention”.

Former Reform UK deputy leader Ben Habib accuses Labour of wanting to legalise illegal migration "through the back door".

Why don't politicians do what they're elected to do? The way they behave makes voting pointless, it's as if we pay their salaries for them to do the opposite of what we want .

I hope people who voted Labour and are waiting for social housing now realise they will never get one. Labour will prioritise illegal and legal immigrants

We've had a thousand years worth of legal migration so no more until 3024. And as for illegal migration, just give them nothing, shock i know, imagine putting them in hotels and paying them benefits and expecting them to leave.

For the first time ever, I find myself feeling uneasy and unprotected within the borders of my own country. It has become a common sight to witness undocumented immigrants loitering on street corners, further adding to the sense of insecurity and unease that has permeated our surroundings.

Where else in the World could you illegally enter a country and be given a house and benefit money?

I blame the 60% of the UK population who couldn't be bothered to get out their comfy sofa and vote. Consequently Labour can do what they want for the next 5yrs

DEPORT, DEPORT, DEPORT... Not my PM. I voted reform, and I don't have a voice. Reform had 14%+ votes yet have less than 1% seats.. The political system needs updating.

This absolutely infuriates me! When I came to England with my British husband in 1998 (married 15 years by then), and my three young sons, I was told I didn't need a visa. When I arrived at Heathrow, I was taken away from my family and interrogated for 8 hours, before they sent me back to South Africa. I had to leave my three little boys behind and it took 11 months for me to get a visa. When I finally got back here, I was told that we wouldn't qualify for housing and weren't allowed to claim any benefits for a year. That was fine by me as I was working within a month of arriving. We rented a house and just struggled on. But now we have illegal immigrants who just land here, get to stay, get processed for a visa and get everything handed to them on a platter, with my hard earned taxes!!
