I felt her heart break saying that. But I also felt her finally healing too. To others it might sound like a deranged lunatic saying weird stuff, or she’s too crazy to know what she just did, but I could really feel how she finally let go of him.

I’m learning that right now too. Trying to love someone, trying to fix a relationship, when the other person is bad for me. You just need to let go.

“Blood is thinker than water, ” means the opposite of what the saying actually says. “Blood of a covenant (friendship) is thinker than the water of the womb (family / relatives).”

Here we see that so clearly. The father daughter bond was something she wished she could have, but she realized that was as thick as water, that he didn’t love her. Meanwhile, the best friends cling on to each other as their last thing before death, even fighting over who dies first so they won’t have to see the other die, trying so desperately to live just so they can stay together; a friendship thick as blood, because they loved each other.
