Adding Yaw Offsets in Orbit Flight Mode - Godfrey Nolan, RIIS LLC

In this session we show how to create a custom version of QGroundControl to make the Orbit Flight Mode more user friendly. We walk through the implementation step by step on how to make these changes on a Herelink. The new code replaces the altitude/yaw joystick with sliders, so we can use the yaw slider to control an offset (+-15 degrees) when in orbit mode. We also added the ability to create an orbit centered around drone’s current position. And finally we display the radius of the orbit flight path.
