These are my favorite type of horror films-the eerie, creepy kind where you're just as uncertain and tense as the lead character. I will definitely see this. It's rare to see great psychological horror these days.

David Bruckner Is certainly an underrated writer/director who should get more work. He did the ''Amateur Night'' segment of the first V/H/S (Probably the best segment honestly) As well as another strong opening segment in another horror anthology type film called ''The Signal'' (2007) His feature directorial debut ''The Ritual'' was pretty good, though he didn't write it. Nice to hear this is good as well.

When I saw the trailers, I wasn't so keen on this movie, as I just thought that this was another one of those jumpscare-fest horror movies.

Rebecca Hall was great in this. And the way you describe it sounds like a good film… but I was left disappointed. It felt like they had a lot of ideas and none of them were really developed. There were plot lines that just seemed to be forgotten about, and then the film comes to a ‘resolution’ that makes me feel like I just watched the first half of a film and I’m waiting for the rest.

I saw this tonight with my nephew and the theater was actually pretty full but anyways I really liked this movie it was a great horror film in my opinion.

I just saw The Night House and loved it. Rebecca Hall plays unstable better than anybody. Worth seeing in theatres.

Really looking forward to that Hellraiser remake now. After The Ritual and The Night House, it’s obvious Bruckner knows atmosphere and horror. He gets it.
