We need more of these low profile graphics card videos

The exact comparison which most people were looking for.

I suggest you also make a video comparing both the gpus in some content creation tests as well. Like time taken in exporting 3d renders, edited video projects, and game projects, etc.

This will help those people who are just going to start their content creation journey.

I would be interested in a tear down of both of these cards. I have owned the T600 for about 6 months and overall I've been pretty satisfied with the performance, but I disliked that the factory condition of the card was sub par. In my case, which, assuming from what I've seen and heard from others, applies to the T600 in general - one of the four memory modules didnt have any thermal putty, one had it but didnt contact the cooler in any way, the thermal paste application on the die was so-so and the factory fan curve was heavily focused on low noise. This, combined with the fact the card begins throttling above 70 °C (clocks drop by around 3% starting at 70 based on my own furmark testing) leads to reduced performance and possibly shorter lifespan unless you are willing to tweak it. Another thing the potential buyers should be aware of is that at 100% fan speed (around 6500 rpm if I remember correctly) the card is extremely noisy, sitting well above 50 dBA, although this is just the nature of the beast for these small form factor cards.

RX6400- new king of OEM gaming build. BUT let's all hope the GPU pricing chaos will go away so we don't have to buy these weaking GPUs.

Highly anticipated video! I was not expecting such a gulf in average FPS. On Amazon in the US there's roughly a $80 difference in the price between these two GPUs right now. If you're just gaming, and you have pci-e 4, it's no contest.

How was the set up for this card? Are the drivers smooth? I still have PTSD from ATI/AMD drivers a decade ago...

The T-600 has served me well, and I'm 99% sure my Optiplex doesn't have 4.0, so I guess I'll just stick with what I have. That's gotta be the norm, right? None of the affordable SSFs sold as office refurbs are going to have PCI-E 4.0.

Looking at eBay today, the prices of both these GPUs have risen since this video was published. Cards like the 1650 are cheaper, but I don't know what the FPS/$ comparison would be today. Might be interesting to redo this analysis based on current market prices.

Another good point, if you already have the T600, you could buy an RX6400 to game and use the T600 EXCLUSIVELY for encode for Plex or as a dedicated streaming card or workstation card in the same rig. Or you could pop out your T600 and cram it in an old PC and build a media server for your household. You could build a second PC for your younger family member who really wants to get into PC gaming, but can't afford to build. There are so many things you can do with an extra GPU. It's just nice to have options in the market at this price point.

Great review - by insisting on the main benefits & use of these cards, as opposed to other channels.
Thanks for video and I am green with envy for rx6400 compared to my t600!

Literally thought to myself "t600 vs rx 6400" half an hour ago while looking at "cheap" gpu prices on my local market and seeing them both tied. Came to YT and loved the fact that I have a dude checking the very same thing in detail like a month ago. :) Thank you very much! So actually in the end, they both have strong use cases and they actually arent bad. T600 4 display outs + all the encoding/decoding stuff and all the nvidia jazz combat nicely with rx 6400 15-40% stronger showing in gaming. But if you only game with your shitty low end oem bucket and a gt 710 in it its a no brainer to go for rx 6400, even with the pcie 3.0 since getting a new pcie 4.0 oem bucket and moving the gpu will literally net you a gpu upgrade lol. Thank you once again and keep content like this coming pls!

All that needs to happen now is the real heavyweight test of these gpus. The rx6400 vs nvidia t1000. Also, anyone purchasing the rx6400 be aware that the drivers aren't amazing yet. Probably because it's a new device. Rx6400 doesn't play to nicely with emulation like dolphin, cemu etc.

Would like to see the T600 head to head with an overclocked gtx 680. T600 should perform the same except using way less energy and having double the vram.

I upgraded an old desktop for my father in law today so he could play some drone simulation. I picked the rx6400 for its specs compared to its price. I tried some games to test it quickly and was really surprised by the performance. A very nice pick for casual gamers or gamers on a budget.

12 percetages trades for hardware encoding/decoding and 2 monitor outputs. I stay with my T600 :D Thank for you video!

Thingking about picking RX 6400 either RX 6500 XT rn. Both of them sitting around 200 and 265 usd in my country. The GTX 1650 still kinda overpriced here. For my Ryzen 3 3200G rig, which one is better for me? The pcie 4.0 limitation always haunt me every night lol. Great video btw!

I just bought a rx 6400 for my optiplex 9010. I have a feeling that it will probably be a good 900p gaming pc with RSR. As long as i get 60 fps with medium settings i am happy.

Thanks for making this comparison! Now I'm super satisfied in buying the rx 6400. Hope you make a video with it in your optiplex
