Overcoming the Odds as a First-Generation College Student: Kaley’s Story

As a first-generation student, Kaley felt she had something to prove. The expectations were overwhelming, and she had difficulty finding people that understood her experience to provide the guidance she needed. She felt lonely navigating these feelings until she was able to use on-campus resources to help reduce her stress, improve her mental health, and build a meaningful community.
