Stuff like this is really good, we need more developers and people involved directly with games to communicate with fans to see what most people want, instead of just playing it safe (Sonic Colors) or trying to please everyone at the same time (Sonic Forces) or taking a shot in the dark as to what people want (Sonic 4) or trying to reboot everything (Sonic Boom) or pandering to nostalgia (Too many to name).

Kishimoto and co. are doing such a good job with Frontiers. I love how much more open Sonic Team has been recently, and it’s such a good sign for the future of the series. You rarely see this kind of transparency with other development teams and publishers.

I find Kishimoto's attitude to feedback really admirable - I doubt most would remain calm and collected in the face of some of the things he's been sent; but on the whole, whether it's constructive criticism, or more aggressive, he seems to take it all on board. Love that man.

Kishimoto DEFINITELY became the savior of Sonic Team. I'm so damn proud of him.

This man is such a blessing, I hope the Sonic fandom behaves themselves instead of making him regret being this active and transparent with us.

I just hope that the fans don't overstep the boundary.

Kishimoto-san is still a person and should be treated so.

I'm grateful for the access, but I really hope some bad actors don't ruin it

Kishimoto taking in critical likes, dislikes and opinions in an honest and humble way is so refreshing. Sonic Frontiers is definitely a game I don't want to die out less than a year after being released. Seeing a proper DLC roadmap and the news of improvements being added later this year makes me more confident for the future Sonic Frontiers.

Also, when did you get a new intro!? Looks awesome!😆

Let's hope the future of Sonic is bright. Morio Kishimoto is a freaking legend. I'm hopeful for this game and the series as a whole.

Kishimoto felt like the Yoshi P. of Sonic Team, very open and transparent about the situation and deeply cares about the community and the health of the game! This is such a good news and i'm positive for Sonic's future!

Fingers crossed the rumored “Extreme” difficulty has an actual working parry mechanic.

kishimoto is the anime protagonist we never asked for, but always needed

He was surprised to learn that people didn't want to see Green Hill anymore. He now understands.
He now understands that people want rolling and physics to play a bigger role and that it shows great potential in an open-zone format.
All of this is fantastic! Really, it is! But... Why did it take Sonic Team until the END of Frontiers' production to start listening? We have been shouting these things to the heavens for the past 5 years ever since Forces and only *now* are these critiques reaching him?

So much for "always listening."
More like "Okay, NOW we're listening."

Better late than never, sure, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't late.

I've always believed that it is important as a company to listen to your fans, and I think we've finally found a good balance. Not nostalgia pandering per say, but also not ignoring the criticisms and the feedback. It really goes to show that Sega is WANTING to change, and I'm really happy for that.
Awesome video as always, and I gotta say, the editing was super slick as well! Keep up the awesome work :)

I hope the next game will go back to the adventure game roots

We need more of this and I don't mean with Sonic, I mean in general. These days, developers think that they know more than the fans or they don't need to play/watch the source material when doing an adaptation or that opinions don't matter, or the more usual now "quantity over quality".
If you want to do a product you have to be loyal to it and to the fans otherwise there is always a backlash.
The last 3 years of Sonic have been consistent with no bad products(my opinion) and one of the main reasons for that is they are finally listening to us
