As a heavy main, the main point of playing him is jumpscaring enemies. If enemy team defends the push from one side you can simply come from other and wipe them out. They will immediately panic, try to run away and die. Always funny and satisfying to me

The other other genre of heavy, the fat scout,
Will refuse to use their Minigun and somehow still topscore,
The shotgun is a tool, it gives coverage while not being refed up and should not be used alone, it is very strong but with the downside of not the healing nor the banana, because there always is a balance and a downside.

Look. Heavy+Medic combos are the most effective duos of the whole game. A high health unit plus a mobile source of healing AND invincibility and an OP weapon is the central attack force of the whole team. ;)

You forgot to mention the golden rule:
Don’t mess with a friendly heavy because if you anger them you will face the wrath of a unfairly good heavy main

Ngl I once played a False Hoovy. Managed to crouch my way through to the enemy intel, where upon I grabbed the intel, whipped out my minigun, killed all the enemies in the room, fought my way through the base and managed to practically get the intel to our doorstep before they finally killed me. We got it shortly after. I single handedly broke a 2fort stalemate.

I AM BULLET PROOF (Seriously I am a heavy main, in any sort of game similar to TF2 *overwatch, the finals* I I choose the beefiest boi or machine gun guy. TF2 heavy is both :))

The reason I, as a Medic always stuck the Medigun into him is beacuse Heavy without overheal, Heavy gets picked apart by piranhas (RED team).

Heavy basically needs a constant stream of health pumper into him, in return to him not flying away with rockets and leaving you stranded.

Also, Meet the Medic makes new players link the two together.
