I potted up three pots of lavender, I love the smell of it also. I will be baking with some of mines.

Marigolds are indeed annuals, but they often self seed themselves so the do come back, but not from the roots of the original plant. Where as lavender is a perennial that comebacks from the original plant roots. Both plants do attract the pollinators, but also can keep pests away by masking the scent of your vegetable plants. 🌱
