Love the accents and the clear explanation! I’m an OT in Canada. I recently started having CTS symptoms. My left hand was soooo painful that I ended up getting a prescription compounded cream to manage the pain at night. 5% Gabapentin/Lidocaine/Ketamine, 10% DMSO in Lipoderm. It was a game changer to allow me to sleep at night while I waited for nerve conduction testing and surgery. I was being woken nightly, often at 2am with burning 🔥 nerve pain and only getting some relief with heat. This was when I was already wearing splints at night and sometimes during the day.
My question now is how to effectively stretch out my palm and fingers (extension) as they now still want to claw up. I’ve had the release on my left and still have palmar arch pain and stiffness. But, no more burning nerve pain and my sensation normalized 5 weeks post op.
