If your "Generate Fill Layer" button does not show up after following the steps like mine did. Close the Content-Aware Fill panel and reopen it under Window> Content-Aware Fill

For those who's fill layer is still black, you need to make sure to switch back from your layer if you're in one to your composition.

If your layer is still black when working with multiple layers, I "soloed" the layer that I am filling since the layers underneath kept filling in the gap apparently and it worked!

When I use Subtract mode in After Effects only transparent masking appears, it doesn't turn black like in the tutorial, can anyone help?

WooooW you telling me that if i want to remove certain objects in a video, that i only have to tell object aware filler algorithm to remove those objects in the first frame sothat it can do the rest automatically based on identical objects/ pixels it detects in the video???

I'm working on a beach scene to remove a person by the water. I tracked the mask manually. When i generate fill layer the outcome wasn't what expected. The wave lines of the water are off where the person was standing and is very noticeable. Is there a fix for this, did I do something wrong, or is it impossible because of the moving water?

If you have the effect "Rolling Shutter Repair" on the target clip, this all won't work. Delete the effect and the mask will appear in the tiny "content awuwu fill" window.
