Dave Weckl - Just Groove Me ( Live Beirut - Lebanon)

For the first time, the legendary drummer Dave Weckl was in Beirut for a drum clinic organized by Mozart Chahine and Yamaha Music Gulf.
The event took place at Music Hall on the 5th of November 2015.
During the clinic, Weckl provided a rare opportunity to experience his drumming technique up-close by performing and demonstrating many of his approaches to the drumset, and answered questions of the attendees

"Just Groove Me" is the third installment in Dave Weckl's "SinglesProject." The song features Oz Noy on guitars and Will Lee on bass.

A very valid argument can be made for a statement like: There HAS BEEN no greatest drummer that ever lived." There have been SEVERAL, but because their styles are different, you really can't make a completely fair evaluation. BUT, strictly from a technical standpoint, I think you CAN say that there's never been anyone BETTER than Weckl.

I don't know about you guys, but for me, Weckl is the only drummed that, while doing a solo over a vamp, can always make me smile and anticipate the next phrase..!

Interesting how with this set up his snare is lower, but titled like the jazz set-up compared to his other setups where the snare is almost at chest level.
