This class shows students how to use Server Manager to Administer and Maintain Remote Server on an Enterprise Network.

To be able to use specific management functions you may have to change Firewall Rules and Service Configurations

They can be setup in different time zones but the UTC time has to be the same. Microsoft does this with a lot of things such as Windows Updates many times wont work if your time is off by more then 24 hours...

Eli, I feel like you haven't really been thanked enough. However, i've been watching your videos for two years now? Something like that. Hello Eli, thank you for this video. I have a question, how are servers administered and managed in the world of digital currency? Not bitcoin per se, but more like the Ripple Consensus Protocol. No... Openstack is about progammically administering and deploying virtual computers. Openstack is much cooler then this ;)

Hi you may be the one to ask this question to...I manage 33 terminal servers, in 2008 I was able to highlight all users from task manager and users and highlight all users and do a signoff when maintenance started...once we took the servers out in our loadbalance....in 2012R2 Microsoft does not allow you to highlight all users anymore so if there is 30 users that didn't exit when a msg went out we now have to do one at a time which is a real pain in the ass and also delays us....Vic

i have linux and a botnet so i can always change the job and it wouldnt matter also allow for remote clustering so that only 1 server (linux) will be in use so i plan to do this on a budget?

you mentioned clustering i want to have a cluster than can have a network of clients that run 1 job spreading the work load can this be done and how?

Hello Eli, i have a problem with administering my member server remotely. I've been able to add the member server successfully, but it says "Online - Access Denied" in the manageability column and the add roles and features command is faded out.
