I messed up in work and I am so worried I can not sleep. This video is simple and great, thank you!

The chance to “earn or build back that respect” is an eye opener. I figured making a mistake like that would end the relationship before it began. Nobody worth their salt tolerates disrespect. For that reason, it’s tempting to shirk away in shame, but then you have to duck them and if you ever cross paths again the impression left you pick up with is negative. Ugh. The long term price of that is much harsher than the short term trial to earn it or build it back. Probably the sooner caught and amended the better.

Good video, I like when bosses give their own screw-up stories, because they can relate and it motivates you to recover and do better.

That said, I hope he made it successfully to the second meeting! 😂

Missing lunch is a “big” mistake? I am sorry. Losing your entire portfolio in a month from bad investing is a big mistake.

When a CEO makes a mistake, they can kind of "whatever" it because they're all in the same country club. And, at the end of the day, they are the CEO. But for working people, they get plenty of time to think about their mistakes in the unemployment line.

What advice would you give when the person I have trouble forgiving/need to make it up to is myself? I let golden opportunities pass me by when I was younger and settled, settled, settled. I didn't make good use of my IQ, EQ, education and creativity to create the relationships, finances and lifestyle I desire. I wasted talents that I could have developed from a young age and gone into creative work with.

Now with a busy family to support (I want to put their needs first because I'm the ONLY mum & wife they have whereas there are thousands of people in every other field of endeavour that could do similar kind of work as me). I don't see myself being world-class in them. Not to mention the opportunities to have fun and explore in my youth. I know how to move forward from here, but can't let go of beating myself up for the past I wish I made for myself and the present I got myself into. How do I move on? Many thanks in advance!

This is Jennifer Sinclair. I made a mistake at work, and I am ruminating on it big time. I acknowledged it, , apologized and have been an excellent employee.. I feel like I will be fired.

I earned a big scholarship but forgot to submit the letter to my financial aid office. Now I might lose the money and I'm so anxious about it. This mistake disrespected my father who worked hard to save for my tuition. If I lose the money, I'm going to work to pay him back. I'm scared he won't forgive me though.

If I've made a big mistake in my life and to myself, what should I do? I'm in so much pain.

I greatly value your honesty in this video and I think that is brilliant to ask for forgiveness and add a nice bottle of whiskey! Totally going to use that the next time I eff up hard... ... Hopefully, it will be a long time from now.

I made a mistake (but at the time, I thought it was the right call with the information I was given ) (volunteer) refereeing at at a kids track and field meet. One round, a Runner stepped into next lane, I called the foul. Team won but got disqualified. Later, colleagues said they would have let it go unless he bumped or impacted someone else and to not be so strict, but at the time, I thought that I was to call if the runner was over the line into another lane. Ugh. I feel so bad, but there’s not much I can do, the call stands. I have a lot of regret though, team would have made it to one more round and possibly won. I really did make the call I was under the impression was fair though.

I made a big mistake last night. I am a maint tech. I had to use a cutting torch and its a two man job but the two that work in my dept i can never get help from and they will sit in the shop while i work non stop. After i worked as long as allowed i handed this project to them when i left. They were working on it when i left and i found out that the cutting torch caused a fire on the machine but i dont know how. I handed the job over and they were working on it. I took the torch back to the shop and found out when i came in i caused a major issue with the machine. I was there another hour and i never seen a fire. So i guess there was one hidden and it must of caused a problem with the press. Never seen a flame. From now on short handed or not if its a two man job its a two man job. Idk.

May you, please, help me to redeem myself, from acting silly around strangers which resulted me from being forbidden from doing things on my own for a while until I can be trusted again?
