Elderberries have been one of my favorite plants to grow in my backyard food forest. They are so easy to propagate I end up giving so many cuttings away! Thanks for sharing your method!

Did one earlier this year, was a little concerned if it would grow or not, since I just planted it directly in soil straight off the cut, but it has proven to come around just nicely.

Going to give it to someone I know, the next time I go for a visit, should be appreciated!

That said, the berries do taste great right off the tree :)

It is always wet in the winter in NC so you can stick them right in the ground this time of the year.

Should this be done very early spring or can it be done late fall?

Excellent video ! I am relocating and had been interested in bringing some elderberry with me - very wonderfully medicinal as you said.  Thank You for showing the "whole" process and sharing both ways of starting the roots - the 2nd way will be great for me at this time. One question, I just found your video and my elderberry flowers are coming, can I still do this?

I've been trying to find Elderberry in the wild but I've read that there is a poisonous look-alike. Do you know much about this? If so, could you make a video on it?

Good luck harvesting any berries.  I have a number of clumps in my back yard but the Cedar Waxwings are busy stripping the berries even as I type this.  The birds usually eat all the berries before they have a chance to ripen.  They eat them while they are still red.
