World's Longest Cat - Guinness World Record (tm)

Mymains Stewart Gilligan goes for the World Record for the Longest Cat. He was measured on August 28, 2010 at the Nevada Humane Society. Stewie's measurement cam in at 48.5 inches from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail. Stewie is a 5 and a half year old Maine Coon owned by Robin Hendrickson and Erik Brandsness.

What an amazingly sweet boy... he reminds me of my cat, Maximilian, who at ~3 feet is but an amateur compared to Stewie.

I can't imagine how I'd feel if I lost Max, and we've only known him for two years. You have my condolences.

What a beautiful cat! He's so relaxed and well-behaved. He is obviously loved very much. He's like..."do whatever 'ya want...It seems a bit strange to me, but I trust you...knock yourself out!" (crazy humans!).

we have had 2 "Maincoons" in our family, they are mellow with the ones they love. they only get angry with thos they don't like, just like PPL... I could tell you are this kitties mom :)
