I'm autistic and physical touch makes me highly uncomfortable. Even just the slightest brushing against my arm from someone I'm not comfortable with touching me will send a harsh shiver through my body and then down my spine.
So I always appreciate it when people respect that not everyone likes to be touched.
Unfortunately I know several people who don't..😂😅

Lol my brother is touch adverse, while I’m a hugger. I’ve learned to ask him if he wants a hug or a fist bump (though he always picks fist bump, but maybe someday he’ll want a hug from his big sissy 🥺 so I sometimes ask if he wants one) and it’s helped us show our affection for each other as adults easier.

I love how you respect her tho!!! I hate being touched and had to train myself to be okay with it bc I had a friend that was always touching me (holding hands, leaning on me, hugging etc). I never said anything bc I was like oh she's needs this comfort and I did like it at times but I realized later that I was prioritizing her over me and that wasn't good. Most touch adverse people do like it at times, just make sure they know you're okay with it if they ever want it and that they can ask for hugs etc lol.
