Erdogan defends Turkey's new missile plan against a US-armed Greece

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday threatened to hit Athens with ballistic missiles a move condemned on Monday by the Greek foreign minister Nikos Dendias.

Speaking during a town hall meeting with youths in the northern Turkish city of Samsun late Sunday, Erdogan said Turkey has begun making its own short-range ballistic missiles called Tayfun, which, he said, was “frightening the Greeks.”

”(The Greeks) say ‘it can hit Athens.’ Of course it will," Erdogan said. "If you don’t stay calm if you try to buy things from the United States and other places (to arm) the islands, a country like Turkey... has to do something. ”

Even if this missile exists, that many experts say it does not (too small for 560+km, no area was reserved for the test, impact was not recorded, accuracy is unknown, video just leaked, etc), it cannot survive in the Greek airspace, that has one of the denser Anti-Air & Anti-Missile defense systems on the planet, with many different interconnected systems watching for possible threats.

Just an example from a drill that tool place 1 year ago in Crete, where Greek HAWK & PATRIOT guided missiles where combined for the very first time in NATO history, to perform Ant-Ballistic strikes. Defense was successful. German & Nederland’s NATO forces also participated in the drill.

So, if this missile exists and if dictator Erdogan is that stupid … we are ready to welcome them, day or night.
