Just came back from the grand opening for Zootropsticle. Figured I should post a review of it, given the hype it's getting online.

Pros:
- The staff were very friendly and easy to approach.
- Chill Penguins were really awesome to watch.
- The "Spot the Wolves" attraction was quite enjoyable.
- Chill Penguins, yo.
- Letting the animals out of their cage and turning the place into a giant petting zoo was a great surprise.
- The search for the proper exit was difficult, but exhilarating all the same. I'm pretty proud of being one of the 17 people to find it.

Cons
- The lack of restrooms was really off-putting.

Overall, 4/10, really could have been better.

IDK if it's a glitch, but the penguins will eat any animal (moose, tiger, hippo) that you place in an exhibit with them. It's hilarious that those little guys are apex predators in this game.

Lmao I had Fish Tycoon for the DS and it was actually fun. You owned a fish store and bred fish.

I always sold goldfish for $9, 999, 999 and it worked if you only had one fish for sale.

The coolest thing about Zoo Tycoon is all of the information they included about animals and their habitats. Plus it was cool learning what were the easiest and harder animals (gazelles and zebras you could put together for an easy first exhibit). Those "happy animal" sound effects were so addicting and the sad ones were just devastating. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, my animal friends!

7:58 Speaking from personal experience, Kangaroos, particularly roos that are used to interacting with people, are pretty chill. They're basically hopping deer, as long as you don't antagonize it they kinda just sit there and vibe and happy to let you do the same. Obviously don't go up to a wild one or anything unless you're trained to handle them, but most roos are perfectly content to let you pet them and interact with them if they acclimatized to humans and live in quality enclosures (large open space, plenty of room to graze, regularly socialized, have access to enrichment activities). If a roo got out of its enclosure, it's not that big a deal but you would still need trained handlers to contain it.

One of the improvements in Zoo Tycoon 2 was the addition of I think it was called 'Zookeeper Mode'? I don't know its been YEARS since I last played it, but I do remember you could walk around your zoo in first person to either look at the animals, take pictures for an album and even take care of them. If you wanted a better view of your animals, Zoo Tycoon 2 is the way to go. But I kinda remember the graphics being weird... Maybe it was just me...
