I just bought a brand new one, and i love it. Handling on this is just magnificent.

I completely understand the dislikes though. Feels overpriced for pretty much the same thing for 5 years, and no change of HP.

Half of you are thinking as fans and not as a company, wtf would this car come with a Turbo and cannibalize the WRX sales? Because it would put them in a very similar price bracket. It's a budget based track tuner, a blank canvas with excellent handling. Treat it as such.

When I buy one of these it's gonna be a 2014, under 20, 000 miles for 20 grand (the price this thing should've cost). Use the extra 8 grand on a turbo kit, but keep the crappy Prius tires and hoon the crap out of this thing. That's how you make the most out of this thing.

Cue all the people complaining about the lack of HP, completely missing the point of what this car does and what it's capable of. If Toyobaru should be shamed for anything, it's putting those awful all-seasons on there. An upgrade to nice summer tires is inexpensive and makes this car tear through corners like Dwayne Johnson tears through a plate of cod, and can knock 2 seconds or more off lap time.

Scions get a lot of flack but they really are terrific cars. I own a TC, and ive driven the xB and FRS. they are great values and don't loose what is really important, driving feel. The FRS isn't trying to be the next supercar, if anything it is trying to be an alternative to the miata. It is, and its different in a lot of ways, too. Like say for example if you want a roof or a trunk that you can actually use. If you are into modding and want power, pop a turbo in this thing and watch it soar. If you want something just for power, get a fiesta ST, or a GTI. They're great cars too and the same price range. Even at that the GTI has just barely more power than this car. Anyways, cars aren't all apples to apple. Stop hating what is already the next big track car.

Who else realizes that the video for the FR-S took place at Adam's Racetrack in Riverside, California?
I live about 15 minutes from the track.
It's fun too watch the drifting competitions or track day events.

Personally, I have always liked the Scion FR-S more than the Subaru BRZ, but I still think they should both offer more than just 200 horsepower being modern day "sports cars". As for the BRZ, call me crazy, but a sports car from Subaru?... I still kind of find that a bit odd to the extent where it's hard to trust. Regardless, they can both be better. The exterior looks fine as always, but the interior and specs need some work. And it's not just the FR-S, it seems to be all Scion cars. Most of them look great, but offer poorly outdated interior features, etc.

Yeah let me know when you're bringing the Monogram Series back, or at least get features from the monogram and make it standard. Only thing keeping away from buying one.
