Perfume Bottles Are BUGGED AGAIN... - Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC brought us the MOST BROKEN BUILD in SOULS HISTORY: the perfume bottles. The bugged build was patched... but something still remains: a very stink glitch was found regarding the Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle and the Deathblight of the Eclipse Shotel. It works for both PvE and PvP... and it's BROKEN. Ranni the witch and Sorceress Sellen tell you all about it!

FromSoft doesn't actually fix any of these bugs, they just throw in an if statement to address the specific weapon. Then the bug resurfaces with a new weapon. Godrick must be in charge of testing.

Fun fact you don't need to meet the requirements for the deadly perfume bottles to use it's ash of war and the glitch still works

Funny thing is if they had just put a flat 30 deathblight buildup on the weapon, and just made the Ash of War an an elemental damage or something, it would not only be a more consistent weapon but all the bugs could have been avoided.

I don’t understand why the hell the even added death blight into the game if they weren’t going to give a single fuck about its implementation. It’s only ever caused issue, and when working fully intentionally, it’s a dogshit mechanic anyways.

Gotta say it’s pretty impressive to have your code so screwed up that so many glitches come from just having different weapons in both hands equipped.

The og deathblight glitch was Truly the redditor experience, anyone merely being in close proximity to you dies. It was also quick and easy to set up.

The original also worked with any status that had a weapon buff (the old glitch could be tumblebuffed) so you had people running around with mainly one other status, doing what i dubbed "Bleedblight". Yes, it's as absurd as it sounds.

Still not as broken as the Carian Retaliation bug. That one was fun.

I will never understand people complaining about Elden Ring’s balancing team. They’re like 4998 for 5000. /s Think about how many things they test and some things slip through the cracks in certain ways and interactions. Their QA team is unbelievable if you truly think about it.
