ABOUT THE VIDEO: 6 Houseplant Fertilizer Myths we should STOP believing
In this video (as the title says) we will be going over 6 Houseplant fertilizer Myths we should stop believing :D. Fertilizers for houseplants is a topic that has been in my mind since I began to be interested on houseplants. Fertilizers for plants are super important when it comes to indoor plants, as our houseplants are in pots so we need to provide some nutrients to them (especially during the growing season). In the video we will be going over the questions of whether do houseplants need fertilizer or not, does liquid fertilizer work and is it the best type of fertilizer, is fertilizer plant food, do we fertilize houseplants in winter, and other houseplant fertilizer myths :-). Hope this video is helpful!

I would say yes to tablet fertilisers if they come in hundreds per packaging. The repeated delivery of those small packets (not lasting as long) repeated delivery carbon footprint is high. Plus packaging sustainability. Would still use bottle fertilisers coz they come in big bottles which mean less replenishment to keep buying the same stuff over and over.

I bought this really cheap synthetic fertilizer and some of my plants (especially my Calathea) actually repsonded very well to it, compared to a much more expensive organic one. So, I am not sure organic is always better. I think it very much depends on the type of plant, because my Umbrella plant almost died because of the same fertilizer that my Calathea seemed to love.

Another lovely video! Thanks! By the way, I can't remember, but do you have a bird of paradise? I just got one and I'm super excited. And I discovered this product, I don't know if you can get it in Berlin, but it's amazing and I bet there's something similar there. It's called "comeback formula." The one I use is called Boomerang, by Fox Farms. It's basically designed for plants that are struggling in any way, and it's made of micro-organisms and nutrients. I've seen it work miracles with sad plants. (I'm in no way getting paid for this, btw. lol) It's less easy to overdo than a regular fertilizer, as the ingredients are different, and I've started using it EVERYWHERE, both with my houseplants and with struggling plants at the nursery I work for. Maybe you knew about this already, but I thought I'd share just in case, as it has helped save SO many of my plant babies! xoxo
