I discovered your channel during the original Covid lockdown and binge-watched from the beginning. It's because of your love for Mexico that we decided to travel around Mexico. Since then we have come to Mexico several times: 1st trip was to Playa del Carmen, the second trip to Puerto Morelos, then we retired and took a third trip taking 2 months to explore San Cristóbal, Comitán, Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapa de Corzo, Huatulco, Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca City, Puebla City and CDMX. (I never noticed that Chilango accent.) We came home for Christmas but will be returning next week to stay 5 weeks in Mérida, then visit Campeche, Valladolid and another 10 days on the Maya Riviera. Next time we want to explore those colonial highland towns: Querétaro, SMA, Guanajuato, Morelia, Guadalajara and Ajijic with the surrounding pueblo mágicos. Thank you for turning us on to Mexico. It is a big beautiful country with wonderful food and lovely people.

So glad you had found my favourite coffe shop in Tequis: Chocolate Molinillo on Independencia Street. I just go to Tequis for its green pumpkin bread (panqué de calabaza)!!!! So yummy

Great vid! Get some content on the people of Mexico maybe. Shiuld of gone back and questioned the lady about Medio cuarto. Have her explain. Great missed opportunity.

I grew up in New York City and if you take the subway there you see big rats all the time. I have seen them walking up the stairs in Grand Central station and one time, I was standing on the platform waiting for the train and this really big rat started walking on the train tracks towards me. He stopped, just about where I was standing, and very nonchalantly looked up at me almost like saying to me "what's up?" and continued on his way after a couple of seconds. He wasn't scared of people at all.

Retired and almost moved there permanently in 2012. Lovely, but needed more to do, more culture, and medical access. 2013 we moved to Morelia and are 8 years into a lovely home and adore living in Morelia. It has everything and is never overwhelmed with weekenders or tourists. We will never move back to the U.S. Enjoy Tequis! Sweet little town.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nice video of your first days in Tequis. Having said that, I wish you both and your loved ones a wonderful holiday season and every blessing of health, happiness, and prosperity, in the new year ahead. Feliz Año Nuevo... Abrazos

medio cuarto is half of a quarter (.25), so, that, in English is an eighth (.125). Further, when she said, medio cuarto, or an eighth, was a reference to an eighth of a gram of candy

Freezing??? Lol, you’ve been in Puerta Vallarta too long! That’s shorts and tee shirt weather, Lol. We are seriously considering a move there from San Miguel de Allende/Guanajuato area. We’ve visited there once for a few hours on the way to Queretaro. It was at the top of our list before we left the US. Midweek is dead but we hear the weekends are lively. Thanks for the video! Oh, and wonderfully flat with nice streets and sidewalks and super clean with no garbage or graffiti! These are things everyone moving here will learn to appreciate very quickly. Oh! And they also have a newer water treatment and supply system in Tequis. Bonus! Read about the local water supplies, especially in San Miguel de Allende! Ouch, NOT good!
