Ancient Colchis inhabited Crete, Sycilia, also possibly Corsica at ancient times. Also relative to Colchis were Etruscans, Hatti, Pelasgians and etc. Contemporary part of Caucasian highlanders are Ethnic Colchis. We can grasp a fact that Colchis were hegemons in Ancient Mediterranean World

What is remarkable here is that these are two cultures separated by 2, 700km (1, 700mi), thousands of years, mountain ranges and at least three seas, yet the music has survived to illustrated the similarities of the two. Is it a coincidence the ancient songs of these two regions sound so much alike. I think not. It only goes to illustrate we are of one people, one race and our similarities far outweigh our differences. I believe the Internet has made possible to bring all of humanity together in ways that were not heretofore possible. The more of us to realize this and put our differences aside, the stronger and better chance we have of living together in harmony with each other and with our only home, Earth. We need to take better care of each other and our home. Song has brought these men together in harmony (literally and figuratively). We can all learn a great lesson here.

Я в Украине живу. Грузинская полифония мне ещё с детства нравится, помню по замечательным грузинским фильмам советских времён. Для меня корсиканская полифония стала открытием. По работе часто общаюсь с французами. Так они и сами не знают, что на их Корсике есть такое пение, родственное грузинскому. Я показал им эту запись, они были очень удивлены. Классно спели!
