People need to understand that this isn’t a big deal, and the coaster is working as intended. Roller coasters work with something called block brakes, the systems preventing coaster trains from colliding into each other. If the section is blocked in front of it, the ride will stop. This means that everybody will be kept safe.

If it’s stuck in one spot, that means the coaster is working safely as intended. Something possibly dangerous if it is used further broke, so the ride automatically stopped.

I preferred it when they called it "California Screamin"

They weren't "brought to safety." They were perfectly safe all along.

KTLA 5 I'm here to tell you that nothing bad happened, it's called a evacuation. When a train stops at a specific area of the ride it is called a block brake. So maybe do better research lol.

This happens daily, but it was sunny 90°-93° that day

I would like to see Disneyland and California Adventure stop with the renaming and changes as it is extremely costly
to even change a name on a rollercoaster or an attraction. Give things a rest for a while and lower admission prices
for all to enjoy Disneyland and California Adventure. Just because Disney corporation "can" spend billions of dollars
for changes, doesn't necessarily mean you "should" spend billions. Lower the park admission prices so more can enjoy..

Was there yesterday and watched them rescue the guests, that was the second time it broke down that day. Even if it had reopened, I was definitely not getting on it.

SO stupid they changed the name of that great coaster

how could they possibly get injured from being safely sat on block brakes? it’s like saying no injuries reported on a delayed flight. they were stopped on purpose probably because of a technical issue on one of the rides mechanical systems so the brakes stopped them so they could fix the problem.

The news is a stupid place where they talk about a small breakdown & act like someone died. This is just a feature on roller coasters to save anything much worse from happening. Sometimes, the news is flat out stupid. The same thing happened with Silver Bullet & they acted like someone got badly injured. Sometimes, just 5-10 minutes after everyone gets evacuated, the coaster reopens.

Me and my family were just on this ride Saturday, my wife and little boy sat out, they weren’t feeling this one out of all the rides for a reason.

The umbrellas were to encourage them to jump.

Rescued?! Why over exaggerate the news. It broke down but it didn’t brake and hurt anyone. Rides get stuck but they weren’t in any danger

It’s a machine. It happens. Thank god it wasn’t more serious. You can do maintenance on any machine but here’s always a risk it’s going to fail.
