What happens if I accidentally hit "quit backup and sync" when I was trying to resume? I see no way to cancel the deleting files. I shut down the computer to stop it but right now, I have it on pause, terrified to start back up again for fear that it will continue from before. How do I ensure, that I'm still connected or connect again without having to wait for it to delete everything?

right after you sign in to your google account you show the page to back up, but in my case when I sign in I get a message saying to close this window and go back to backup and sync?, where is that?, how do I go back to that page?

Great. Just what I don't need. I neither need nor want to backup everything. I neither need nor want to have all my photo's sent up to googles cloud. But they've taken away any means to upload single images to google photo's. It's all or nothing. Uploading a single image to gdrive now returns nothing but unsupported file type errors and the option to show gdrive images in google photo's simply doesn't work.
I really don't know why Google have to make the simplest tasks so stupidly overcomplicated.

Why in the world do I need this new "computers" back up thing? Why not just continue to use Google Drive, and put everything I want to sync on my computer in that folder? I really can't see the point for why they made this more confusing. And the integration with Google Photos is a mess!! There doesn't seem to be a way to choose which folder uploads to Google Photos anymore.

I resolved my sync issues by moving everything to Dropbox . . . Google Drive is dead to me now.
