In a true shuffle, every card has approximately the same chance of being in some spot.

But with a dovetail shuffle, no matter how often you do it, the uppermost card has a way higher chance of staying somewhere at the top.

The chances of ANY well shuffled deck of cards to end up in same order to ANY other well shuffled deck, in historical time, has most probable NEVER happened. Hard to believe but thrue.
