I just bought a new 2013 VW CC, and would have MUCH preferred the 2.0 TDI diesel, which is inexplicably not offered on the CC. I have yet to hear an intelligent reason why. Andreas?

Be super careful about running bio in any diesel newer than 2007 unless you remove the DPF. The Regen cycles all but guarantee you'll have fuel run down and contaminate your oil, and since biodiesel is a solvent, you risk engine damage in a pretty big hurry.

in Nevada it's at most 10 cents more than regular but biodiesel is cheaper and you can get money back from the government at end of the year...some tax is deductible for cars over trucks

I had one of these, it was white. In December 2022 I hit coyote, dead center, at 68 MPH, the intercooler broke apart, on the inside, all the debris was ingested into the diesel engine, destroying it. I'd had it for 18 months. My previous 2013 diesel sedan was totaled in an accident in July of 2020. So I got something different, a 2014 Eos. I hope for better luck.

I'm a dude who daily drives a supercharged 5.0 f-150.. but gas prices are on the rise.. thinking of picking up a used tdi manual vert beetle.. i mean I'd rather that than a prius..
