Hey Brad, from what i understand, the int range is defined in the C standard but not number of bytes it should take up in memory. So depending on the hardware, the same int value may take up different amounts of memory depending on the architecture. For example, a 32 bit integer loaded into a 64 bit address (if the hardware is based on 64bit) would be padded to fill up the 64bit address thus taking up more memory than on a 32bit architecture machine

How to build iOS apps in general. Learn by following how to build demos! Each series will build increasingly complex apps together. The "Learn Obj-C" and "Learn Xcode" series are old and discountinued for now. So you should follow the Basics, and then the next one and so on... the series are listed in order on my profile page.

The first episode of the basics series answers that question :)
Xcode is the program you use (like Photoshop), Objective-C is the programming language you learn to write the code to make things happen. After the Basics series, there are more series after that which builds off the skills learned in the Basics series. Just like in school!
