Loef acoustic bass

Olav Loef stopped by on his trip to Sweden and I tried one of his acoustic bass guitars. Recorded with a Rode NT2-A condenser mic to computer, compressor and reverb added in Cakewalk Sonar.

I played bass for years, and I cannot say this enough, simplicity is beauty. I have seen a LOT of bass players that can throw down some dizzying display of accuracy and speed, and it is impressive as all get out, but these beautiful slow songs with these creamy milky tones where you can hear the fingers on the fret board rocking back and forth creating so many amazing textures and amazing tones, its just something you can't get from lightning fast bass lines. Thank you for this!

This is the best sounding acoustic bass guitar video on YouTube. Nice to hear a great instrument played with grace and attention to tone, rather than showing off. I've owned both Martin and Tacoma basses in the past, neither of them sounded anywhere near this good using the built-in piezos. All the best.
