Guild Westerly Collection B-140E Acoustic Bass Demo

Guild redefined acoustic bass guitars in the mid-1970s with the introduction of the B-50, based on the ever-popular Guild jumbo shape. The B-140E carries on this tradition, providing an impressively loud tone that can be easily amplified with its Fishman Sonitone Bass pickup. Built with a solid Sitka spruce top, and solid African mahogany back and sides, the B-140E features an Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, NuBone nut and saddle, and mother-of-pearl rosette. This model also has a 1½” nut width on a vintage shaped Guild neck, iconic Chesterfield headstock emblem reminiscent of 1960s Guilds, period-correct tortoiseshell pickguard, and Guild’s new lightweight polyfoam case. Available in Natural gloss finish.

I picked one of these up at Chicago Music Exchange a couple months ago. What an excellent bass! Perfect body size, good low end, easy playability, solid construction. I've played a lot of acoustic basses, and this is one of the best.

I just got one of these. A few thoughts - Bigger than it looks in video. Very long scale. Beautiful fit and finish. Wound strings way too noisy and scratchy. Replaced them with Labella black tape wound strings. Adjusted truss to bring down the action a bit. Now it plays great, sounds great, even unplugged. I have five other high end basses. This one is by far my favorite. Fun to play. Can't put it down. Bought on Ebay for six hundred bucks with a small flaw in the finish by the bridge which can't be seen. Even at full retail this bass is worth every penny. Get one!

already bought it 1 week ago, waiting for my purchase, after 85$ Takamine Acoustic Bass i think that will be a massive upgrade for me, i just wanted to see some additional videos/presentation about B-140E acoustic bass,
as i see there is only a few videos on youtube .

Hate the scratchy sounding strings. Try a set of tape wrapped Labelas.
