I don't know of possible or even segnificant but maybe next time you can add "best power efficiency" category? With power prices going up I think we should encourage performance per watt over power hogging beasts that we have now.

You know it's business time when Jarrod is so well-dressed for the occasion. Now seriously, I think this year's Nitro 5 has also seen a whole lot of improvements over past years models. It's to the point where it's not a bad idea to get one if you can't find a Legion 5 for a reasonable price. Great video as usual, Jarrod. Thanks!

I bought the GE77 instead of the GE67HX. Main reason was the bigger screen, even tho it's not OLED, the quality and colors are still amazing. With a bigger laptop with a i9 and RTX 3070ti, the temps dont go over 75°C. Also the led lighting is beautiful. The fans can get quite loud on extreme mode, but not hearable with headphones. Good build and quality laptop.

Im kinda surprised the M16 doesnt make to one of the top picks. To me it seems to be one of those devices that does everything above average and doesnt really fail at anything, specially now with a mux switch to go along with that beautiful Pantone validated 16:10 screen. It has powerful 12gen Intels and nvidia 30s while having very good battery life (specially being intel) and being relatively light and compact for its screen-to-body size. Yes the price is a bit salty but hey, thats the price you pay for a device that can do it all....it is to me personally by far the best pick at the moment along side the Slim7

19:14 As somebody who uses two drives in their Legion 7 2022 and dual boots Windows 11 & Linux, I agree; having keyboard effects and performance modes set via firmware rather than software really makes a difference in Linux!

Oh, and the fact that the 2022 Legion 7 AMD model is AMD Advantage this year means Linux support (especially out of the box) is FAR better than with an Nvidia GPU.

I’m not gonna lie Aorus is a brand I forgot existed. They haven’t really made anything outstanding in a long while. When they were new they were trying to make powerful dual GPU laptops in as thin of a chassis as they could. Plus they were trying to compete with Razer in the 14” size. So they used to be an exciting company. I hope they go back to some of that in the future.

Really excited for CES this year. Phoenix sounds like it could be a game changer for AMD thinner lighter laptops, hopefully they put that in the Asus G15 and it gets the improvements from the G14 (16:10 screen, vapor chamber, etc). It would be super sweet with that mini led from the 16x.

I started liking my Legion 5 finally, when out of the blue. GPU started boosting to 148.3W instead of 130W after fresh windows install and NOT installing Vantage. Its just just spike to that power for a second. It stays there all the time. Idk how, Idk why, but I like it. Free FPS boost and a little bit extra fan noise while staying at 76c.

Hey there Jarod! I appreciated all your extensive and thorough cover of each category and the strengths/weaknesses of each laptop.
I hope you get the chance to see this, but I think an important category to include for next year's laptop award show would be "Best Customer Service."
This category would test the brand's support for general tech questions, quality control of parts, and how good a brand is about their warranty/fixing a broken laptop.
This is a category I don't think gets covered enough by many tech reviewers, prioritizing the laptop and their brand's hype over the support and long term support/reliability of the laptop to last a long term.
