Others have said already but just making sure you know; whenever you purchase something on google play, a refund button appears on the apps google play page next to uninstall. You can try the app/game for a set period of time (48hours) and then hit the refund button for an instant refund if you decide not to keep it.

The built in weather app on the pixel is great. The weather display is built into the pixel launcher (at least on the original Pixel, I presume it will still be there on the pixel 2)

MyRadar is hands down the best weather app on Android. If you want a clean design that offers a lot of features, is better then your local weather station, and has an unintrusive clean widget, MyRadar is it. The paid version is even better. The other weather apps are just in google play to help fill out the store lol.
