They have better chemistry, they know each other since they were children, they help each other in fullfilling what the other lacks and Tom changed so much for Star not to mention how good they look together, heck even their fandom children look way better than starcos fandom children!

I find it too hard to watch any SVTFOE things after the monstrosity that was the finale, but I watch this simply for the music. I wish I could find just the music and nothing else.

The growth Tom shows throughout the show, even when he takes a few steps back, makes him one of the more realistic and fleshed out characters. This is no dig at the show writer's or Star and Marco, but even with their growth as people, their emotional growth is hindered and they end up taking so many risks without thinking of the bigger impact they would have on others. They are shown to be really selfish, which I understand they are between 14-15, with Marco being 30 something due to a technicality of dimensions, but I think it's important to note. Characters of the same age around them grew more in terms of emotional/personal growth. So we're they hurting each other?

*I genuinely remembered hating this episode when it first aired because I was a massive Starco shipper. But I regret doubting Tomstar. It's honestly sad how they handled this ship towards the end. They made Star seem really annoying in season 4 and I felt bad for Tom. I know technically Tom 'breaks' up with Star, but in my eyes Star breaks up with Tom for cheating on him with that kiss. It even shows how far Tom has grown as a character for not being upset with the kiss, because S1 Tom would have lost it.*

*And as for Starco. It had all the potential but they ruined it by forcibly rushing it at the end. It made the ship seem less real and more like it was there just because unnesesaey fan-service.*

*I know it's not the best to compare shows but The Owl House did 100x better than SVTFOE when it came to the romance. Lumity in TOH had time to establish the relationship and it was never rushed and the crazy thing is TOH was canceled early by Disney and Dana Terrace was able to write a actual relationship that had moments before and after Lumity was established as cannon. Daron Nefcy on the other hand kept having Star and Marco be with different people that had better and not forced moments. I'm not trying to talk bad about Daron, but I wish this show could have had a different ending. If Daron wanted Starco to be the 1# ship at the end then she should've established it during the mid point of the show like Dana. But to be fair, I think making Tom and Star stay together at the end would be better since all of us already knew from the beginning of the show that Starco would happen, it would create a surprise to the viewer*
